Privacy for Readers

What stays on your device, what you choose to send and how to raise a privacy question.

Who is responsible

Tallyrocketfjell Field Learning Ltd is responsible for personal information it receives through correspondence about tallyrocketfjell.buzz. Our registered office is 6 Bridge Street, Kirkwall KW15 1HR, United Kingdom; company no. SC815962. Contact [email protected] for privacy enquiries.

Reading the website

The educational pages do not require an account. Their application code does not include advertising trackers or analytics requests. Hosting infrastructure may process technical request information, including IP address, requested resource, timestamp and browser information, to deliver pages, investigate faults and protect the service. Where personal data is processed for these purposes, the basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure, reliable website.

The enquiry composer

The composer builds text in your browser. It does not submit your fields to us or save them in localStorage. Copying writes the reviewed text to your clipboard when permitted by your browser; downloading creates a text file on your device. Your browser, device or clipboard service may retain information under its own settings. Clear the fields, clipboard or downloaded file if you no longer need them.

Email correspondence

If you send an email, we receive your address, message and any information or attachments you include. We use that information to consider your enquiry, respond where appropriate and address corrections or privacy requests. Our usual basis is legitimate interest in handling correspondence; legal obligations may apply to particular records. Do not send health details, identity documents or other sensitive information unless specifically necessary and agreed.

Recipients, retention and transfers

Hosting and email providers may process information on our behalf as needed to operate their services. We do not sell enquiry information or use it for unsolicited marketing. Information may be disclosed where required by law. We retain correspondence only while needed for the enquiry, an associated editorial record or a legal requirement, then delete or minimise it. Where a provider processes personal data outside the United Kingdom, applicable legal safeguards must be used.

Your rights

Subject to the applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact us with enough detail to identify the information concerned; we may need proportionate verification. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
